Funky French & Peanuts

Using our regular Flor Mar polishes. I really liked this combo. I think this gray deserves many many funkies with shades of blue and green.

Lime & Yellow

Here is quick and quircky mani. I wanted to try free stamping since I'm on holiday and stay home all day long.

The base color is OPI the it color, stamped over with Flor Mar Supershine 50. The base was so hard to get opaque, it needed 4 coats. But the stamping polish is good for this purpose, I just keep using it.

Konadicures

Last night was kind of a girls night and of course nail polish was a high subject. My friend was interested in stamping so we tried and I think she quickly got hold of it.

So here is my konadicure base with orange Flor Mar 401, thumb with Flor Mar Super Matte M124. I stamped thumb with S6 using special Konad polish, and others with Konad M79 using Flor Mar 310.




Maybe one comment would be on Flor Mar Super Matte, which seems kind of getting dirty even on the second day

For my friend I convinced her to a rather sleek and clean looking konadicure. We used three, yes three coats of Flot Mar 397. Kinda ponky but nude look is achieved which later is stamped by Konad M60 with Flor Mar 310. An accent finger is stamped bu Born Pretty Fauxnad C01 with a Spanish polish, Vera Valenti 28

Newspaper Mani // Gazeteli Manikur

At last I managed to do a newspaper mani. I have seen it in many blogs even the tutorials are so wide spread. Usually gray or light brown tones are preffered for the base, but lately I am obsessed by turquoise tones, so I gave them a try.

Basically I painted the base, did the newspaper part. I learned that I need to press harder for better transfer. Then I did my french tips and applied mattifier.

So here is the sole base which is Gabrini Mirror Colors M02.

And here is the full mani newspapered with tips painted with Gabrini Mirror Colors M10 and mattified.

Sonunda gazeteli bir manikur yaptim!! Bu manikürü ve hatta nasil yapilacagini pek cok blogda gormustum. Gebelde gri ya da acik kahverengi tonlari baz olarak kullaniliyor. Ben bu aralar turkuaz tonlarina tutkun oldugum icin bu renkleri tercih ettim.

Temel olarak once bazi uyguladim, gazete kismini yaptim. Devaminda Daha mavi bir tonla french yaptim ve matlastirici uyguladim.

Kismet Kısmet!! KaderKısmet

A VERY special polish for me.

Of course it is special because of the name it has, which is half of my nick name in many social media arenas.

But over that, it is special because it gifted. Maybe the only person who  understood my obsession and shared my inspirations. And suprised me because he believed that I should have this regardless of price etc.

When I saw that   Nars has given this name to a polish I was amazed. But then, I thought the price was too much for a bottle of polish. Probably you realized, that I try to use only a bugdet friendly range of products.  But my believer thought I should have this. And bought it secretly as a suprise.


Here is the very moment I recieved it,  and shot lying on my skirt. (pretty good shot, ha?)

So here it is, with one coat and then two coats and editted through some Iphone app's. At first, I could only use one coat, but to be honest, two coats are better for full opaq. It is shimmery and best I can say is it is avery bright orange with some sunshine in it. =)

Green Fishnet / Yeşil Fileler

Yesterday, while I was hitchhiking the blogosphere, I was this great green in Nimo's Style blog.  I quickly commented on how beautiful the green was, and I never saw that color on Gabrini. But Gods of  nail polish had their way, and on my way back home,  I saw a whole basket of new gabrini nail polishes in a cosmetic store. Of course, a mini haul took place :))

At first I thought it was the same with what I saw on the blog, but it turnes out o be mine is different. It is not from Mirrors collection, but Gabrini Elegant 317.

So here is what I did,

Base: Gabrini Elegant 317
Konad: M57
Stamping Polish: Flor Mar Supershine 50
On my middle finger: Sally Hansen 450-Fairy Teal
I have alsao tried Flor Mar 313 Black for stamping, but it did not really show off, so I went with this different shades/same color idea.













Dün blog dünyasında gezerken Nimo'da (Nimo's Style) harika bir yeşil gördüm. Ve benim Gabrini'de ya da kolayca bulunur başka bir markada hiç görmediğim bir yeşil için müthiş heyecanlandım.Ve pek tabii Oje Tanrıları görev başındaydılar. Eve giderken yol üzerinde bir pasajda bir kozmetik dükkanına yepisyeni gelmiş bir sepet Gabrini oje buldum. Ve içlerinde o renk de vardı!! En azından ben öyle sandım.. Tabi ufak bir alışveriş vuku buldu ve ben bir kaç renkle birlikte yeşilime kavuştum. Nimo'nun gösterdiği yeşil, Gabrini Mirrors serisinde imiş, benimkiyse Gabrini Elegant 317.


Bir kaç deneme sonra, aynı renk, farklı tonlar temasında karar kıldım ,ve şunları yaptım.

Fake Nails (From vault) / Takma Tırnak (Sandıktan)

My very first and last fake nails. These are bought from Barcelona, a Chinese shop equivalent of  "one dollar shops"

I thought how can wear these, and as I did not have much patience, I base coated my nails, with some different colors and tried them on.  Ah, and I shortened them a big bit. And I really wonder you opinion, which color looks best. 

İlk ve son takma tırnak maceram! Bunları Barselona'dan bir Çin dükkanından almıştım. Bizdeki "bir milyoncu" dükkanlara eş değer bir yerdi.

Nasıl kullanabileceğimi bir süre düşündüm ama sabırsız olduğumdan, değişik renklerden alt kat boyayıp, üzerlerine de tırnakları geçirdim. Unutmadan, birazdan fazlaca kısalttım da bu tırnakları. Sizce hangi renk daha güzel durmuş, fikirlerinizi merak ediyorum doğrusu!

Beşiktaş Mani

Bu benim ta ilk yaptığım free-hand çalışmalarından birisi.
Beşiktaş maçlarından birine giderken yapmıştım. Beşiktaşlı değilim diyemem, ama Beşiktaşlıyım da diyemiyorum =)

Sormayın yani. :) Aslında şuraya şahane bir aslanlı manikür koymak da vardı, ama maalesef GS manikürüm o kadar korkunç olmuş ki, kendime saklamak en iyisi!

O dönem blog dünyasında hayvan desenli manikürler ve Konad'ın meşhur diski ciddi ön planda idi. Ben de elimden geldiğince bunu taklit ettim işte. Flor Mar 310 üzeri, Flor Mar'ın nuamrasını anımsayamadığım siyah ojesi ve gümüş Nail art'ı ile çiziktirmişim. Armayı tutan işaret parmağında ise kalp/kartal kanadı arası bir çıkartma var. Acemliğimden tek eliminin fotoğrafını çekmişim sadece.


Here is mani for a team I am a fan, but not fully. So don't ask how come? =) This is one my very first free hand's inspired by the animal design themed manis which was highly popular on the blogsphere at that time.

I'd love to put a mani themed for my theme, Galatasaray, but the ones I tried turned out to be so bad or messy, I'd better keep them to myself.

What to wear to work? // İşe Ne Sürsem?

It is always hard to choose how to polish to work. As you can never know how many meetings or hectic situation you will face, or if I am just sure about the business of the day,  I try to do a manicure with a classical color, or can go with anything. As of my position, I should not always wear attention grabbing designs. 

So, after trying a couple of copper, velvet and red shades, yesterday evening I decided on Flor Mar Supershine Miracle U32.

 To spice up, I put some little drop shaped stones. 

At first I though these were okay to wear at work, but because I could not seal them appropriately, I lost them in couple of hours anyway.

 By the way, I really love all the miracle seris. They are so strong even in one coat, and the effects are amazing. Hard to find in many Turkish brands for me. Most Them are also good for stamping. 

Here is one I tried over Gabrini Diamond D61.  It takes the shape, but does not show off it's real color.

İşe ne giysem kadar ne sürsem de benim için büyük dertlerden olmaya başladı. Kaç toplantı çıkacak, ne kadar yoğun geçecek ya da kimlerle işim olaak bilmedigim icin her durumla gidecek, "işe uygun" ojeler sürmeye gayret ediyorum. Her halukarda, görevim gereği de çok dikkat çekici şeyler sürmem gerekiyor. 

Dün gece bakır, kadife, bordo tonları arasında bir sürü deneme yaptım ve en nihayetinde Flor Mar Supershine Miracle U32'de karar kıldım.

Daha sonra damla şekilnde minik taşlarla az az süsledim, ama işe kullanma şansım olmadı. Düzgün yapıştıramadığım için bir iki saat içerisinde hepsini düşürdüm.  

Bu arada Flor Mar'ın Supershine serisinin hepsine bayıldığımı eklemeliyim. Çok güçlü ve kalıcı ojeler. Üstelik tek kat sürdüğünüzde bile rengini tamane veriyor. Pek çoğu damgalama işi için de uygun. Dün deneyip hoşlanmadığım manikürler arsında yaptığım bir damga çalışması. Şekil güzel ama renk tam çıkmıyor.

Bookmark Mani / Kitap Ayracı Manikürü

Aslında manikürsel açıdan bu manikürün bir degeri var mıdır bilmem..Ingstagram ile edit edilmiş o yüzden  rengi pek belli olmasa da Flor Mar 416 gri ile boyadım, İşaret parmağımda yıldız/ çarpı arası karmaşık şeyin hangi oje ile yapıldığını hatırlamıyorum Ama bence Hakan Günday'ın dedikleri çok güzel ve nedense bende üzeri çizilmiş satırlara, gönderemediğim mektuplara dair hisler oluşturdu. O yüzden çizmeye çalıştığım şeyi beceremediysem de, bana hissettirdiği "üzeri çizilmiş, üzerine çarpı çekilmiş" hissinin ifadesidir.

 I am not sure if this has a value by means of a good manicure. It is edited by ingstagram, so the colors do not really show themelves. I have used 2 coats of Flor Mar 416 Gray. I cannot remember the nail polish I used on my accent finger. the shape is someting between an asterix and starry kind of thing. For me, what wirites on the bookmark I hold is so beautiful and it made remeber images of overlined sentences adn the letters I could not send. So, even though I could not maange to draw something good, it expresses the feeling aroused when I read the lines.


By the way, the bookmark inclueds some lines from Hakan Günday, a young Turkish novelist's latest book Az (Less) and it says (if my daring is seen appropriate)

"maybe life is beautiful when misunderstood. Only when misunderstood, but everything as so.. "

It makes me think of scribbled lines.. hope you like it..

Dots, Polka Dots

Here is a post from vault I should say. It is from my first blogging experience, as a guest blogger in Aurora's Nails

I have used a toothpick to make the dots. The polishes are Gabrini Matt Gray and Gabrini Matt Blue. they are not so much matt, also inclued kind of shimmers as well.I have used a top coat, so no sign of mattness in the photo.

I was inspired by Faber Castells grip pencils, but shot the photo with a matching table cloth.

I have the white and the pink but have an eye on the blues as well!!

Eskilerden kalma bir manikür ile karşılarınızdayım. İlk blog deneyimim diyebileceğim Aurora's Nails blog'undaki misafir postumda da bu manikür yer almıştı.

Noktaları bir kürdan yardımıyla yaptım. Kullandığım ojeler ise Gabrini Mat Gri ve Gabrini Mat Mavi. Pek mat olmadıklarını söylemek bir yana, içlerinde ışıltılar olan mat oje ilginç. Zaten ben üstüne cila çektiğim için matlıktan eser yok.

Aslında ilham kaynağım şu bayıldığım Faber Castell'in Grip otomatik kurşun kalemleri idi. Ancak fotografı pek uyumlu gördüğüm masa örtüsü ile yapmışım.

Kalemlerden pembe ve beyazına sahibim ama ne yalan söyleyeyim mavilerde de gözüm var!

No, I am no where close to having them, but they are SO on my wishlist, I could post them here!!

Hayır, maalesef onlara sahip olmanın yakınından bile geçmiyorum. Ama o kadar istedim ki, bari buraya post edeyim dedim. 

 

 

Japanese cherry blossoms

Yesterday I was kind a depressed and found myself  at shopping, shocking, huh!

And I bought a nice blouse which inspired me for a mani. I tried to mimic the japanese kind cherry blossom flowers. I am not so good at free hand, so these are so so.

But I learned how to draw the tree branches now through  trying and not achieving, so I hope I will do better nex time. Still, you can see middle finger of my right hand is completely ruined.

So what i did was do a base with Flor Mar 416 gray, then draw the branches with a fine brush with the brown polish of Yolizul, no name or number. the flowers are with either Flor Mar 310 white, 401 orange or 416 pink. The supposedly leaves are Sally Hansen 450, Fairy Teal. (I love the name of this polish!)

So here are some pic's of course taken with my iphone. In this other post, you may see a picture, holding a message for my friend & played with ingstagram.

By the way, I after I was done I though matt would look cooler and I did with Sevilla matt top coat.

blog'a bir yerden başlamam lazımdı bence =)

nasıl yapsam ne etsem diye düşünürken nette ilk tanıştığım blogger olan youknow'un bunca zaman desteklemesi ile ilk yazımı yazdım.

ilk entry için çok güzel olmasa da bir konad çalışması. Flor Mar 417'nin üzerine Konad M60 ile Flor Mar N009 diskinden damga yaptım. Üzerine de tek kat Sevilla matlaştırcı kullandım.

actually polka dot designs are among my favorites

still, i do not have dotting tools yet, but use tools such as pen, toothpick etc. so these are not really clear, neat or identical

so whats to worry if this is going to my journey and my fun. but sorry to keep you with some messy photos

i used flor mar 009 two coats as a base and without waiting it to dry fully i dotted first the big ones, followed by the minis withtoothpick.

the colors are, a blue from gabrini matt series, a green of no name brand, and  orageish red from flor mar nail art series

and here is a pose, which is maybe not so politically right. but tea & smoke made my day that day.
